Important Information for Applicants

The Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) announces the opening of waiting lists for Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers (HCVs) in select areas of Michigan. Applications will be accepted for open waiting lists only and applicants may only submit one application. The open waiting lists are as follows:

The HCV program provides rent subsidies to low-income families, seniors, and disabled individuals. Eligible households pay a percentage of their income for rent, and the HCV program pays the remaining amount directly to the landlord. The waiting lists will remain open for a limited time, so interested applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
