Q2 2024 Earnings Results

Thank you, operator. Good afternoon, everyone, and welcome to the Palo Alto Networks fiscal third quarter 2023 earnings conference call. I'm Nikesh Arora, Chairman and CEO, and I'm joined today by Dipak Golechha, our CFO.

Before we dive into our results, I want to take a moment to acknowledge the tremendous work of our teams around the world. Their dedication and commitment have been instrumental in driving our continued success.

Now, let's go over our financial results. Total revenue for the quarter was $1.7 billion, representing a 26% year-over-year growth. Our billings were $2.1 billion, an increase of 29% year-over-year. Non-GAAP net income was $478 million, reflecting a 30% year-over-year growth, resulting in non-GAAP earnings per share of $2.15, an increase of 28%.

Product Revenue

Turning to our product revenue, it was $905 million, a year-over-year increase of 28%. This growth was driven by strong demand for our next-generation firewalls and Prisma Cloud, our cloud security platform.

Service Revenue

Our service revenue was $795 million, an increase of 23% year-over-year. This was primarily driven by the growth of our subscription-based services, managed security services, and support services.
