LeLeagues Cup Expands to 47 Clubs in 2023
The revamped and expanded Leagues Cup 2023 will feature 15 groups, with the reigning champions from Major League Soccer (MLS) and Mexico's LIGA MX receiving automatic byes to the Round of 32.
This will be the third edition of the Leagues Cup, an international club soccer tournament between MLS and Liga MX. The competition has expanded significantly since its inception in 2019, which featured only eight clubs.
The 2023 Leagues Cup will be the first to include all 47 clubs from MLS and Liga MX. The groups will be announced on Wednesday, January 31, 2024.
